Safety and Wellbeing Policies
-
Guests are required to conduct themselves as appropriate to the context of the situation. For example, please be mindful of language use around young children.
Be culturally sensitive; there are many different regional, cultural, religious, political, and educational backgrounds present among our guests. Please consider whether or not your behavior may insult someone’s identity, regardless of if you perceive that identity to be present.
Violence of any kind, verbal or physical will not be tolerated. In the event of harm, efforts will be made to ensure restorative justice for the victim. The hosts, Camp Cedar Ridge, and vendors expect all guests and attendees will follow all applicable laws as well.
The vibe we’re aiming for is simple, elegant, familial, fun, and loving. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating with all present as though we are in the same family. -
Prohibited Allergens
A number of guests suffer from airborne allergens. This means they can become extremely ill and some of these allergies are severe enough to become fatal. As such, we will require all guests to follow the allergen policies. This site will provide a list of all prohibited allergens prior to the start of the retreat. Prohibited allergens are NOT permitted anywhere at any time during the retreat, including off-site excursions. We ask you to check this list before departing for the retreat and refrain from bringing any prohibited allergens with you.
Prohibited allergens
For allergies that are severe enough to cause anaphylactic shock from airborne exposure.
Guidance Allergens
Allergens that need to be clearly marked to avoid contamination or accidental ingestion by allergic members of the community. These may be permitted at camp, but should not be brought to group meals and only be consumed by the folks who brought these items.
-
Due to the risk of airborne allergens in fragrances and scented products, we ask folks to avoid bringing or using fragrances, perfumes, or other scented goods (such as laundry detergent or deodorant).
