Packing List. Afterall friends, this is camp.

Dance Camp Retreat is a lot to prepare for. So what should you bring? Here’s a handy checklist.

Retreat Must-Haves

  • Sem-formal attire. The vibe is simple elegance. The reception will be active so be comfortable moving or bring a separate change of wedding attire.

  • A true Floridian knows to always bring at least 2 swimsuits. And a good hitchhiker knows to bring their own towel. Be prepared for all kinds of wet and wild activities.

  • If you need it at home, you’ll need it at Camp. Remember the allergen and fragrance policies apply even if you aren’t bathing on-site. Be prepared for plenty of sun exposure.

The camp store sells toothbrushes and other necessities, but hopefully you’ll come with what you need.

  • Here are some good ideas for shoes to bring with you;

    • Hiking/running shoes

    • Rainproof shoes

    • Sandals

    • Water shoes

    • Dance shoes

    • Wedding shoes

  • Raincoat or poncho.

    Folding umbrella

    Comfortable waterproof shoes

Please no umbrellas at the ceremony. We have a covered backup for the wedding in the event of rain.

  • A variety of sweaters, hoodies, and coats is suggested. While the highs this time of year can be in the mid to upper 80’s the lows can be in the lower 50’s. Layers are your friend.

Retreat Nice to Haves

    • Cleats (recommended)

    • White shirt (that can get stained)

    • Dark shirt

    • Athletic clothes for running

  • Stay tuned for themes!

The wedding colors are purple, lavender, and gold. What kind of themes do you want to try? 90’s, tie-dye hippie, cosplay day? It’s all possible.

  • Feel free to stretch your brain back to your own summer camp memories for this one.

Do you remember the cup game? How to get out of the human knot? Or figure out what’s true and what’s a lie? We’re here for it.

  • Clarissa really wants a drum circle, but doesn’t have enough drums. If this sounds like fun to you, bring a drum or two along.

  • The site hosts an amazing hill and sweeping views of the valley. A serene place to fly a kite if the winds are right.
