Our Story

Clarissa and Erik met at a contra dance “afters” party in January 2016. Clarissa was sitting alone at a table resting and initially attempted to ignore Erik’s self-introduction.

Thankfully, Erik didn’t pick up on her rudeness and thought she simply didn’t hear him so he gave it another go, and a new friendship was made.

A group of contra dancers held a weekly pickup game at Cowen Park in Seattle. Erik, an avid ultimate player, began joining the pickup game meetup giving Clarissa, Erik, and Keller the time to get to know each other.

From bumping into each other at a 20,000-person rally march in Downtown Seattle to hosting annual friend group summer camping trips. Erik and Clarissa have found their relationship began through, is centered in, and grew from shared values and shared community. That’s why they’re excited to represent the parts of life that brought them together in love with this contra dance wedding camp retreat.
